Vancouver Drug Policy

This site is an overview of the Vancouver Drug Policy of 2008. Here you will find a review of the current policy and law governing drug use in British Columbia. More specifiically Vancouver's eastside. This page shouold direct you to the information you need to form an opinion about Vancouver drug policy. In addition bring you up to date with a brief history and look at current policy.
Findings and overviews of policy can be found on a second page labelled "FAQs". This explains the current approach, past approaches and what I believe should be done about the problem.  An Alternative recommendation is provided on the third page and outlines my proposed plan of action. A fourth page lablelled "resources" is included and this is where you will find helpful resources for doing your own research.

As Seen in Red: The Vancouver Eastside

Vancouver's Eastside is an area located just blocks from a thriving business district. It is here that open drug abuse is tolerated, crimes overlooked, and social disorder rampant. The area emcompasses only about 20 sqaure blocks and yet is home to about 2000 homeless individuals.

Drug addiction is a complex issue with many individuals battling an addiciton and homelessness.
